What we move
Accounting
Chart of accounts mapped to Odoo, opening trial balance, bank balances, fixed asset register and, where you want it, prior-year history for comparison.
Open items
Unpaid customer invoices and vendor bills, advances, cheques in hand and post-dated cheques, so ageing and statements are right from day one.
Master data and stock
Customers, vendors, products, price lists and opening stock by warehouse with costs, cleaned of duplicates on the way in.
A move you can check
- We agree a cut-over date, usually a month or year end.
- Data is loaded into a test copy first, and the opening trial balance, receivables, payables and stock are reconciled with you.
- Your team works in the test copy for a few days before the switch.
- On go-live the final balances are loaded and signed off, and the old system stays available read-only.
Migration questions
Can we keep our existing chart of accounts?
Yes, or we can use the move to tidy it up. Either way every old account is mapped to an Odoo account so balances reconcile.
Do we lose our transaction history?
No. Most businesses bring opening balances and open items, and keep the old system or an export for history. Where you need comparatives in Odoo, we import prior-year monthly balances or full transactions.
Can we switch in the middle of the financial year?
Yes. We bring the opening balances at the switch date and the year-to-date figures, so your annual accounts still come from one place.
